Location & battery
What it does
Clubvolare uses your device location only when you tap a button — to find nearby pharmacies, embassies, hospitals, or other emergency services. It never tracks you in the background and never runs while the app is closed.
Where to find it
- Settings → Location & battery — toggle, test, view last-used timestamp, clear cached fix.
- Any feature that needs your location shows an inline "Uses location" badge on its button.
How to use it
- Open Settings → Location & battery.
- Toggle the switch on (default: on).
- Tap Test location to confirm permission and see accuracy.
- Use any feature with the MapPin icon — it requests once, caches for 5 minutes.
Admin controls
Admins (you) have unlimited access; no feature flag gates GPS. Users can disable per-device; the preference is stored in localStorage (key: ).
Battery design
- One-shot only — never .
- Shared 5-minute cache so multiple components share one GPS fix.
- Low-accuracy mode by default (Wi-Fi / cell, not GPS chip).
- 10s timeout, then falls back to last-known cached position.
- No background tracking, no push-based geofencing.
Edge cases
- Permission denied → falls back to last-known fix if available, else surfaces a clear error.
- Offline → last-known fix returned from localStorage.
- Unsupported browser → toggle disabled, error shown.
